The 180 Project is a community recovery programme based in Lancashire, the first of its kind in the UK. Our vision is to create a lasting recovery … breaking the vicious cycle of addiction, crime and prison. We disrupt these cycles so people can live a happy and fulfilling life. They deserve one. The 180 Project frees those caught up in addiction and crime, heals families, mends communities and helps people fulfil their potential and does this like never before. Starting in a gym environment, not a clinical or traditional service setting: - We use functional fitness to bring people together, offering a new lifestyle and providing purpose. We ditch life limiting labels; Hopeless. Addict. Alcoholic and create a new identity; Strong. Determined. Athlete. - We combine our fitness programme with education, life-coaching and peer support to rebuild health and create respect for the body and mind. This allows people to see their own potential which opens up; new opportunities, new friendships, new hobbies, new jobs. We work on the basis that not one single organisation, individual or sector can tackle some of deep routed issues and challenges that individuals and communities face. We seek to bridge gaps, compliment and add value to existing local services to save and transform lives. Together we can make a positive difference to men and women who are isolated, vulnerable and facing disadvantage.
