About The 4Cs SEIU 1973
The 4Cs SEIU 1973 is the union representing full-time and part-time faculty, staff, and educational professionals at Connecticut’s public community colleges, adjunct faculty at Charter Oak State College, and part-time faculty at the University of Hartford. We are a member-driven organization committed to justice, equity, and respect in higher education workplaces. Through collective bargaining, advocacy, and organizing, we work to ensure fair compensation, secure working conditions, and quality learning environments for the students and communities we serve. At the heart of our mission: • Defending academic freedom and professional voice • Advancing fair funding for public higher education • Supporting the diverse, modern student body our institutions serve • Protecting the dignity and rights of all higher education employees Together, we believe that Connecticut’s future success relies on the strength of today’s higher education institutions and we believe on standing up for those who make it possible.
