About The Abbey Addiction Treatment Center
The Abbey is a leading addiction treatment center located in the Quad Cities. Just 3 hours from both Chicago and Des Moines, our clients come from across Iowa, Illinois, and the entire Midwest Region. We treat a wide range of chemical dependencies, including alcoholism, abuse of prescription medications, and drug addiction. INDIVIDUALIZED CARE & GROUP COUNSELING Our comprehensive program focuses on the needs of each individual client. We offer a broad spectrum of treatment services, including assessments, individual or family interventions, outpatient counseling, detoxification, residential treatment, supportive sober living, discharge planning, and continuing care. 12-Step Facilitation (i.e., the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, etc.) is a core treatment modality, along with the field's leading evidence-based counseling techniques and materials. CO-OCCURRING MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS Nearly all of our clients tend to suffer from mental health concerns, in addition to their chemical dependency. Common examples include: *Depression *Anxiety *Trauma *Bipolar Disorder These types of mental health concerns often lead to the addictive behaviors and/or they may exacerbate them. By helping our clients to treat those underlying mental health issues, we form a basis for recovery and improved overall health. HOLISTIC THERAPIES & NUTRITION In addition to our traditional counseling services, our treatment protocol is enhanced with a variety of holistic therapies, including Yoga, Meditation/Mindfulness, Music Therapy, and Art Therapy. We prepare healthy and delicious meals in order to improve overall health and satiety. COORDINATION WITH REFERRAL SOURCES We are honored to work closely with so many of our colleagues in Health Care. Whether we are recommended by a hospital, physician, social worker, counselor, we collaborate on providing the highest level of patient care.
