About The Academy of Performing Arts
Since it's inception in 1995, the mission of the Academy of Performing Arts is to empower youth and the community through the education of the Performing Arts. In that time, the Academy has provided over $25,000 in scholarships to at risk youth who might not have otherwise discovered the benefits that the performing arts provide, such as confidence, teamwork, commitment and leadership skills to name a few. In recent years we have added our Black Box Theatre, dance, voice, film acting and Senior Theatre, and Radio drama to our repertoire. We have produced over two hundred and eighty eight productions. These performances showcase the high quality production values of its Founder and President, Collin Kreuzer. Our audience have continued to grow and familiar faces are proving themselves loyal to our cause. These patrons have been quoted as saying that our production value is excellent. They have compared APA to Broadway and our intimacy and quality is reminiscent of theatre's past in a state that has always been rich in culture. This translates into ticket sales to a captive audience who see the company as a quality performing arts venue.
