The African Shirt Company brings you authentic African made, African inspired shirts... Its in our name! We are here to help you help Kenya, it's people, animals and environment. We believe in sustainability and conservation for the better...We are using simple facilities, no electricity, we collect water in buckets, we have a charcoal iron (using sustainable charcoal of course!) The African Shirt Company... set up by Joan and Lindi. Joan is a fashion designer in London. Lindi is a conservationist in Kenya. Together we have been able to create a simple product We also support a reforestation project in conjunction with the Malewa Trust, which promotes environmental education and sustainable land management around the Kiteghe area. Through the sale of our shirts we give money back to this tree nursery. Every sale buys small seedlings from the local children, which are nurtured and eventually planted around the mountain to restore the degraded land.
