About The African SOUP
The African SOUP is a community development organization in rural Uganda with a mission of generating the country’s future leaders. The SOUP works in tandem with the community to address their most vital needs. Through an exemplary primary school the SOUP has facilitated a nutritional outreach program, sustainability projects, sponsorships to further education, and the birth of a national project aimed at engaging learners through a method of active learning. This switch from traditional Ugandan teaching methods of rote memorization and lecturing will empower students and teachers with the critical, creative, and ethical thinking skill sets to insure leadership growth in Uganda.
