About The Alliance for Florida's National Parks
The Alliance for Florida’s National Parks is the official philanthropic partner for Florida’s national parks. We provide opportunities to support education, exploration, and conservation programs in Big Cypress National Preserve and Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Parks. Education is a major component of our mission. We support education programs developed by the National Park Service at Big Cypress National Preserve and Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Parks. The National Park Service implements these multi-touchpoint programs in partnership with educators, empowering teachers and students with robust hands-on learning experiences. In addition to aligning with Florida’s state standards for education, the programs inspire new lifestyles and future careers. In the absence of government funding, we are a critical source of funding for these programs, allowing our dynamic partners to instill knowledge, inspire appreciation, and create a lifelong passion for protecting the natural environment. Exploration is also essential to our mission. We host public events and engage in an array of communication opportunities to raise awareness about Big Cypress National Preserve and Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Parks. There is something for everyone at each of these destinations, and we encourage the public to explore them in person – driving interest, advocacy, and philanthropic support. Finally, we fund conservation efforts that promote a healthy future for Big Cypress National Preserve and Biscayne, Dry Tortugas, and Everglades National Parks. Conservation ensures these destinations remain fascinating places to learn and explore without relying entirely on government funding.
