About The Alliance for Praxis Research

The Alliance for Praxis Research (APR) is a collective of young researchers and artists nurturing spaces and encounters for social change and knowledge sharing. We work collectively, independently and freely. Praxis is a desire, an intent, and a yearning. For those of us who are “politically depressed” it often serves as a call to action, an embodiment of discontent and still hope to engage in the process of social change. Yet it remains elusive, fleeting and marginalised within the academy. The idea of praxis - the indissociable and continuous becoming of critical thought and action - is what brought us together. As praxisioners, we seek to do more than understand, but to act, intervene, subvert, challenge, and assemble new, alternative, and better futures.
