About The ALLICE Collective
The ALLICE Collective is a Houston-based nonprofit committed to strengthening mental and emotional well-being in Black communities. We are grounded in the belief that true wellness comes from fostering positive social connections. Through accessible, culturally relevant services, the organization empowers individuals and families to grow, connect, and thrive together. The ALLICE Collective provides affordable mental health counseling and free, weekly support groups that create safe, supportive spaces. Signature groups include Breakfast & Brotherhood for Black men, Sisterhood Bonds & Boundaries for Black women, Healing Together for coed relationship support, and Resilient Minds for strategies to manage behavioral addiction. Each group is designed to nurture resilience, connection, and mental wellness within the community. The ALLICE Collective is also dedicated to maternal mental health, supporting Black mothers and birthing persons through programs like the Dear Mama Block Party. This annual event brings the community together to celebrate and strengthen the mental well-being of Black mothers, offering resources, wellness activities, and a supportive space to connect. For youth, the Wisdom & Worth Youth Program offers a transformative experience for Black middle school students, featuring wellness activities, creative expression, and personal growth workshops. The free program includes meals and transportation, ensuring that every student can participate fully. The ALLICE Collective also supports the next generation of mental health professionals through an internship program, where graduate students gain valuable experience while extending our reach and impact. At its core, The ALLICE Collective is about building stronger communities through connection, support, and care. By prioritizing accessible mental health services and nurturing positive relationships, we empower individuals to thrive together, making wellness a shared community value.
