About The Anchor Program
Our Mission The Anchor Program serves local communities by offering exposure to viable career choices for young adults, and others, whose options may be limited. We provide a lifestyle alternative through training, certification, and preparation for a career in the growing maritime industry where graduates have the potential to earn a substantial salary, travel the world, and create a new career path. ----- The Anchor Program (TAP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit service organization that prides itself on “training the mariners of tomorrow.” TAP provides vocational and life skills training to youth (aged 16+) and others interested in pursuing careers in the maritime industry; more specifically, the United States Merchant Marine.
