About The Archives,LLC
licensing images of movie stars, digital photo restoration & archival printing. You may have seen our digitally re-mastered images in print, on television, or in licensed products. From the Marilyn Monroe Playboy cover of 1997, to the traveling exhibition of classic celebrity prints in "Portraits of an Era"; or the many collectables such as dolls, stamps, fine wine, books, prints, and Marilyn Monroe Calendars from pre-1997 through 2010. The Archives has provided the content for many magazines and licensed products from companies like Bradford Exchange, Franklin Mint, Capitol Records, EMI, RCA Records, Graphique de France, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Time, Life, People, A&E, Newsweek, Neiman Marcus and much, much more. Milton H. Greene died in 1985 believing that 80% of his 300,000 image collection was lost forever to deterioration. After many attempts with traditional restoration practices, Joshua Greene was introduced to the miracle of Digital Restoration. In 1994 Joshua Greene founded The Archives. The Archives has digitally restored hundreds of Milton's original images to date, and is actively involved in restoring, archiving and representing other historical collections both public and private. The Archives' exclusive printing process produces state of the art archival Ink jet prints with an enduring lifespan of up to 200 years! As compared to traditional photographic color prints that have been scientifically rated to last 60-75 years.
