About The ARK Jammers Connection

ARK Jammers Connection, Inc. is a young but fast-growing 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, founded in Baltimore, MD. in June 2009 by the ARK Jammers, “cultural ambassadors” who decided to stop blaming others and to start doing their part! We use the unifying power of music to practice kindness in our local and global communities, and to promote it as the simplest way to change the world. The ARK in our name stands for «Acts of Random Kindness». Contributions to ARK Jammers Connection are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by US law. ARK Jammers was founded by Avline Ava, Noel Ekwabi and Jay Lou Ava on August 28, 2008, to raise awareness and support of the African Diaspora for the benefit of the DC Child and Family Services Agency, and was incorporated as the ARK Jammers Connection, Inc. on June 3, 2009 in Baltimore, Maryland. The organization morphed from a small volunteer outfit of less than 20 people operating between Baltimore in the state of Maryland and Washington DC, into an international organization of over 100 people, operating virtually on three continents, in five countries (Canada, Cameroon, France, United Kingdom, and the United States), and with an overseas office in Cameroon. Interest in our mission and the demand for a reprise of our program are growing exponentially in the US and around the world, bringing in partnership requests from countries as far apart as Brazil and Nigeria, Jamaica and France. Today a pioneer and trailblazer in the field of African Diaspora-reconnection based on DNA testing, ARK Jammers has the strong moral, political and occasional in-kind support of the US government, governments of countries in which we operate (Cameroon, Brazil...), global institutions (World Bank Group, IMF, Africare, FIFA, African Union...), powerful civil society organizations and individuals (African Ancestry, Duke Ellington School of the Arts, US Senator Vincent Hughes, and artists Yannick Noah and Hugh Masekela...).
