The Art Station, https://theartstation.uk/ established in 2016, is a dynamic, ambitious, arts organisation and charity, developing/supporting the creative industries in Saxmundham, Suffolk; using its unique venue in a 1950s telephone exchange as a base for a dynamic and innovative Art and Learning Programme for our local community and East Coastal Suffolk. as well as a regional and national art audience. Our creative hub is right in the high street of this well located historic market town. Our work/presence creates a positive impact through an increase of economic and cultural activity. Our Art and Learning programme offers opportunity for creative learning and supports the creation of art and tech - supporting professional practice for creatives and developing practice and offering creative sessions for all ages linked to exhibitions and events in our programme. We have a high speed line which facilitates creative tech and will be offering coding and IT training for specific age groups in 2022. Our pleasant co-working space offers a chance for remote workers and freelancers/sole traders a place to work - and a chance to connect with others in our network.
