About The Association of Bioscience Financial Officers International
The Association of Bioscience Financial Officers (ABFO) was founded by a group of San Francisco Bay Area biotechnology financial officers in 1989 to create a forum for exchange of information and networking. Since the first ABFO conference in 1990, bioscience CFO's have helped form separate regional chapters throughout the United States and Canada. We have chapters in Northern California, Southern California, Boston, Texas, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Seattle/Vancouver. These chapters function independently throughout the year, but coordinate in the planning and execution of the ABFO National Conference. Past ABFO Conferences have been held in major cities located near the centers of the biotechnology industry including: San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, Philadelphia and Boston. Our 27th Annual Conference is set for May 24 - 27th, 2016 in San Diego, CA **The reference to number of "employees" with reference to Company Size, below, refers to the size of our national membership.
