About The Authority
The Authority is a full service authoring house that turns music into games for the Rock Band Network (RBN). Video game maker Harmonix with MTV Games recently opened the Rock Band Network as an extension of their vastly popular Rock Band Video Game. ANY band, label or music-rights holder can now get as many songs as they wish into the game via downloads on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The Authority is producing a large quantity of the tracks available in the newly opened RBN store. Their quality games consistently win over the hearts and fingers of Rock Band fans, gamers and real musicians alike. Some of their recent clients include The Shins, Flight of the Conchords, Sleater-Kinney, of Montreal, Testament, Seether, Drowning Pool and All That Remains. “Even Rats” by The Slip was the very first sale worldwide in RBN. “Tongue Twister Typo” by Blackmarket was the first “T-Mobile Artist of the Month” in April. Most recently “Even Rats” and “Australia” by The Shins were two of the first five RBN songs to port over to Sony’s PlayStation 3 RBN store. All of these songs were authored by The Authority. The Authority will provide you with great sounding, great playing songs on the Rock Band Network. The opportunity to have your music played all around the world along with the greats like Hendrix and The Beatles is now truly at your fingertips.
