About The Backpack Project of Athens
Founded in January 2017, The Backpack Project of Athens, Inc. (TBP/ATH) is a UGA student organization which strives to serve the Athens homeless community in ways that provide them with opportunities to not only sustain themselves, but also to positively influence the quality of life of those around them. Service, engagement, and awareness are all core tenets of TBP/ATH’s mission, which is brought to life through a team of UGA students and faculty who seek to drive long-term improvement within the homeless community in Athens.
