About The Baloch Hal
The Baloch Hal is the first online English language newspaper of Pakistan's largest province of Balochistan. Founded by journalist Malik Siraj Akbar in November 2009, the Baloch Hal is currently the most widely quoted newspaper on the affairs of Pakistan's gas rich province. The Baloch Hal is solely an online newspaper that staunchly believes in localization of news with an investigative, objective and balanced approach. Some of South Asia's leading newspapers like Dawn, Hindu, National, Himal South Asian and BBC have quoted the Baloch Hal. In November 2010, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority imposed a partial ban on the newspaper in an effort to force the newspaper management to give up its independent policy but the newspaper did not give up as the secular writers and bloggers across Pakistan stood on the side the Baloch Hal.
