The origins of The Base Warehouse stems back to 1989 when our CEO, Peter Zafiropoulos, opened his first retail store under the name of Discount Base. The business quickly satisfied the urge for a range of party and homeware products that were diverse and budget friendly. From sourcing products from around the world to local Australian Suppliers, the store's unique and affordable items quickly created a large buzz around the area, causing the business to expand across Australia. Throughout the years, Peter acquired much experience, creativity and fresh ideas which resulted in a new venture and the creation of who we are today – The Base Warehouse. The Base Warehouse concentrates on supplying a diverse range of Party Supplies, Everyday Essentials, Balloons, Costumes, Halloween & Christmas Party Supplies, Seasons & Events supplies, Birthday Party Supplies, and Home Decor that is both trendy and affordable. With over 80,000 products in our Gregory Hills location, we concentrate on having a huge range of products to meet all our customer’s needs & expectations. Our competitive pricing and product range positions The Base Warehouse above the general discount store market, providing our customers with true value for their retail spend. These core values and assets have allowed us to proliferate and to be known as New South Wales #1 One Stop Shop for all Party, Homewares & Essentials. We now have an omnichannel style business with 6 brick and mortar stores located in Gregory Hills, Erina, Bankstown, Menai, Wagga Wagga & Lake Haven as well as a brand new, ever-growing online store. With over 200 suppliers, the majority of which are Australian-owned and grown, we at The Base Warehouse strive on providing and forecasting the hottest lines across all our categories. We are constantly launching new products both in-store and on our website to keep up to date with the latest trends throughout the seasons, holidays, and other calendar events.
