English below The Beach is een werkplaats en hub voor sustainist design gevestigd in Amsterdam. Sinds 2009 werkt The Beach aan co-designprojecten waarin we met bewoners, andere betrokkenen en ontwerpers & kunstenaars ontwerpen aan sociaal duurzame perspectieven en/of oplossingen voor vraagstukken in en rond de Wildemanbuurt in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. We geven ruimte aan initiatieven, denken er over mee en ontwikkelen nieuwe projecten met diverse partners. The Beach is a hub and a lab for sustainist design in Amsterdam. With people and organizations we apply design practices to create projects that make communities stronger. Values as sustainability, human scale and sharing are our compass. Designing new forms of relationships - creating new social structures - and doing research in underlying processes is the core of what we do.
