About The Beautiful Boat Company
The Beautiful Boat Company are boatbuilders of distinction. We specialise in making traditional wooden craft, to order, working closely with our clients to agree specifications. We also carry out renovations and restorations, and non-marine joinery projects when time allows. Recognising the potential environmental impact of our work, where we can, we use hand tools, and recycle our plastics. We don't take any part of a tree for granted: our wood/forest products are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which means they have come from well-managed forests and/or recycled materials. We have also reclaimed a large stock of teak, once used as hospital flooring, which makes stunning, durable, decking. From time to time we exhibit at fairs where we sell bowls and boards made from off-cuts of our boatbuilding endeavours. We always welcome enquiries for any joinery projects, large or small, inspired by boats and boating.
