About The Bhutan Collective
The Bhutan Collective invites business leaders and owners, entrepreneurs and organisations to explore a different way of thinking when it comes to business. We do this by creating meaningful travel experiences to Bhutan with the purpose of learning about Gross National Happiness for Business while at the same time exploring the pristine beauty of a country that measures success in a very different way. The Bhutan Collective develops bespoke itineraries and programs for clients with a unique business approach which sets us apart from regular leisure travel businesses. Co-Founder Carolyn Hamer Smith has a depth of experience living and working in Bhutan since the early 2000's along with a vast network of business leaders in government, private sector, entrepreneurs, academics, civil society, NGO's, the Bhutanese Royal Family and The Royal Academy. We also work with likeminded partner organisations in Bhutan who have expertise in Gross National Happiness for Business and how the values of GNH are integrated into business operations and how success is measured. The philosophy is that businesses should be driven by purpose and not profit alone but recognises the importance of economic progress. Our partners include The Institute of Happiness, Gross National Happiness Centre Bhutan and the Centre for Bhutan Studies. We also collaborate with leaders and experts within Bhutan to provide programs, events and experiences to create truly unique and unforgettable memories and learnings.
