Every single tube, tin and batch of Nose, Paw, Elbow and Boo Boo Butter is handcrafted individually by my team and I, here in far FAR northern Minnesota from human quality all natural ingredients. The Obligatory HOW IT ALL STARTED STORY...For almost 30 years I bred and showed Top Ranked, Top Winning, Fancy Schmancy #1 French Bulldogs. Yep, just like the movie Best in Show, I WAS the crazy woman screeching about her dog having to have a certain treat. Of course, my dogs had to look and feel their best and unfortunately, some of my Frenchies had some gnarly, crusty, cracked noses. Then one day, back in 2003, I was slathering shea butter on my legs and without thinking dabbed some on my Frenchie's noses. The next day their noses looked much better and so it began! The idea popped into my head that the Frenchies LIKED the shea butter, so why not make something healthy to moisturize their noses with! My EUREKA moment…not quite like discovering the Earth was round or whatever Archimedes did…but what the heck NOSE BUTTER® was born! After sharing my NOSE BUTTER® with dog show Frenchie friends on a limited basis for years, it occurred to me there are other types of dogs besides French Bulldogs (duh) that had dry noses. So I began creating more labels with more breeds depicted. As online shopping became more popular The Blissful Dog grew and grew! Now The Blissful Dog is in hundreds of shops, boutiques, rescue organization shops, grooming shops and tattoo parlors (really) all over the world!
