Boden & Davies Ltd was first founded in the late 1950′s by Geoff Boden, to this day the company is still owned and run by the Boden family 3 generations down the line. The company first started trading on a small site in Stockport, the operations quickly outgrew the small site and now the company has multiple sites throughout the UK, linked by our large road haulage fleet of over 60 vehicles. The main depot is a 15 acre site at Astley Manchester. At this site we run a wood recycling operation, recycling all types of waste wood. The wood that is taken into the site is 100% recycled by a modern high speed recycling processing plant, the recycled material goes into a number of different streams such as the chipboard industry and the biomass sector. On this one site we currently handle over 600 tons a day of waste wood which is reprocessed and transported off the site on the same day to maintain healthy stock control. We are also one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of pet products, manufacturing wood based cat litter, small animal bedding and equine bedding for some of the biggest names on the UK high streets. The directors saw the great potential in pet products and invested heavily in machinery which has allowed us to become at the forefront in this area. Our products are distributed all over the world. Our own brands of Smart Cat, Smart Pet and Smart Horse are UK market leaders in the pet and equine industries.
