About The Book Rack
The original Book Rack location opened on September 1, 1982. Throughout the years, we have had customers come into our stores from all over the United States and the world. Along the way, we have established countless long-term relationships with scores of avid readers. The Book Rack has had the honor of being selected as the top bookstore in Lafayette in the "Times of Acadiana's Best of Acadiana," and we have remained one of the top bookstores in the area throughout the years, even with large national chains moving into town. All of our staff members are avid readers, each having been a customer of ours at one point or another. They are well-versed in various genres and authors and will be happy to share their knowledge with you as they escort you through the wonderful world of books.
