Hi, I'm Martine, Founder of The Bookkeeper's Academy. Chances are you went into this line of work, or are about to take the leap, because you’re passionate about what you do, want to be in control of your own success (and schedule), and get a kick out of a well-ordered Chart of Accounts. Though, if it isn't quite what you expected or you're feeling a bit stuck, you’re not alone. I'm guessing you've spent some good chunks of time bouncing between feeling inspired, motivated and excited, and overwhelmed, terrified and confused. Trust me - I’ve been there and I get it. And it's exactly why I launched the Academy. 25 years ago I launched Bookwiz - an award winning franchised business that provides bookkeeping services, training and support to leading national business and government organisations. I've enjoyed all the benefits that come with being a successful business owner and industry leader - financial freedom, work / life balance, being the master of my own destiny... Though it didn't happen overnight, and I also became very familiar with the challenges, curve balls and sleepless nights that come with the territory. Over the course of my career, I've been a solo bookkeeper, built a healthy and happy team, founded and managed a franchise business, trained some of the biggest and the best, and won a few awards. I've evolved, pivoted, hustled, grown, and learnt a lot. Though, more importantly, I've developed a bank of resources, knowledge and insights that I really wish I had access to at the start of (and throughout) my journey. So, I created the Academy - a supportive and connected digital community that gives members direct access to the knowledge, practical tools, and learnings I have amassed over the past two-plus decades so that you and your business can learn, grow and thrive.
