About The BottleShop
The BottleShop opened in Canterbury, Kent in 2010 as a shop & bar specialising in bottled craft beer from Britain and the rest of the world. BottleShop: Canterbury was voted into CAMRA's Good Beer Guide 2013, 2014 and Good Bottled Beer Guide 8th Edition. BottleShop: Bermondsey began trading in March 2014 as our office & warehouse but also offering our beer to thirsty Londoners 7 days a week. It regularly hosts tap-takeovers from the breweries we represent including Modern Times, Wicked Weed, Left Hand, Omnipollo and Brewski. It is the highest rated bar in Bermondsey on Ratebeer.com BottleShop: Margate opened in June 2016 on the seafront, just down from the Turner Contemporary. It's been a pleasure to see the local community support our bar with such passion. We're as loved for our cocktails as we are our beer by many and the views out to see, and the sunsets, are fantastic. Turnover-wise, there are some weeks it's actually busier than our London bar which has been great to see. BottleShop: Wholesale has taken-over as the main lead for the business and we now have over 800 accounts across the UK. We have distribution agreements with some fantastic breweries who are all producing world-class beer. Our careful curation and dedication to service has been key to our growth and value in the market. We believe in refrigerated distribution and crowdfunded £400k in 2017 to offer end-to-end ColdChain for all our beer by refrigerating our London warehouse. We directly import from the East and West Coasts of America and refrigeration is key to maintaining the quality of our products, ensuring maximum shelf-life, promoting freshness and adding value. Simple science dictates that beer hates heat and kegged beer will begin to referment when heated meaning lost sales due to foam being poured at the point of sale. All of our beer has lived at 6 degrees celsius which has kept the kegs inert and adds at least 10% of extra pourable pints per keg. It's a game-changer.
