About The Braille Program
The Braille Program is the official leading resource in the LEGO Braille Bricks project, offering training, resources and information. Every child has the right to be literate, that means to be able to speak, listen, read and write. Despite all the technological innovations, BRAILLE is still the only tool that enables blind children to read and write actively. The Braille Program is designed to help blind and visually impaired children around the world practice pre-braille, learn braille and promote inclusion. It is based on the LEGO Braille Bricks concept of learning through play. Braille experts Marie Oddoux and Marc Angelier, an occupational therapist and a teacher of the visually impaired, train teachers, specialised or not, to understand what braille is and how to teach it in a fun and inclusive way. Whether you are a caregiver, an educator, a teacher, a parent, we provide you with knowledge, tools and workshops to learn how to stimulate visually impaired children through play, from a very young age.
