Our Mission: At The Brick Church School, children are guided to be happy, self-confident community members, mindful of God’s love, accepting of themselves and others, and filled with curiosity and joy in learning. Our Values and Commitments: As a mission of the Brick Presbyterian Church, our School is grounded in Christian values of love and compassion, values which are shared by many religious traditions and faith communities. We commit to creating a welcoming and joyful environment for children and adults of all backgrounds in our diverse and inclusive community, where the dignity and value of each person is recognized and celebrated. We recognize the inherent human need for connection and belonging, and provide “Windows and Mirrors” to offer a view into the lives and experiences of others while reflecting the identities of each member of our community with respect and care. We see children as capable learners, filled with curiosity and interest in the world around them. We value play as the work of children and provide meaningful, age-appropriate learning opportunities to foster growth in all areas. We encourage our students, families, and educators to care for others with their words and actions. We believe young children can meaningfully participate in efforts to help others, and these experiences develop empathy and help children feel empowered to make a positive difference in their community and beyond.
