About THE BRITISH-UZBEK SOCIETY (London, UK)
We are pleased to present the only official British-Uzbek Society formally established in July 2002 as a Charitable organisation by a group of prominent people in the UK, including business, academic and artistic communities and with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London. The British Uzbek Society is funded by the subscriptions of corporate and individual members. BUS activities include lectures, as well as receptions to celebrate mutually significant festivals, such as Nauruz (Uzbek New Year) and a joint event to mark Uzbek Constitution Day (8 December) and Christmas. We will welcome all individuals interested in economy, history and culture of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. We aim to promote friendship and business links through discussion forums, social and cultural events. So, if you are interested in the future development of relations between the United Kingdom and Uzbekistan, please JOIN and UNITE! Here is our membership page: http://uzbek.org.uk/membership/
