With over 45 years specializing in federal education grants law, the Firm has extensive knowledge and a level of experience unmatched by any other law or consulting firm. Initially established in 1980 as the law firm of Brustein & Manasevit, the Firm quickly began representing States, school districts, colleges, and other private and public non-federal entities on matters related to federal education programs and grants compliance. In 2023, the Firm changed its name to The Bruman Group, PLLC. The Firm has provided legal advice regarding federal education programs such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), formerly the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), the The Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act (Perkins V), and Workforce Investment Opportunity Act (WIA), as well as the Higher Education Act.
