About The Carolina Center for Healthy Work Design and Worker Well-Being
The Carolina Center for Healthy Work Design and Worker Well-Being is one of 10 Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health® house in the Gillings School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We aim to improve working conditions and worker well-being in North Carolina, the southeast region, and the nation through outreach, education, research, programming, and policy interventions. Our research takes a partnership approach to ensure that solutions are both effective and sustainable over time. We are actively looking to collaborate with researchers from many disciplines with questions related to improving safety, health and well-being at work. Some of our most recent work is centered around mental health, well-being, essential workers, and small- to medium-size employers who typically have less access to health programming for their workforce. Our center is funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health as part of the Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health® (grant number U19OH012303).
