About The Center for Precious Minds
Founded in 2003 by Andrew Smith, The Center for Precious Minds provides social services to individuals throughout South Florida. We are certified vendors for the state of Florida Department of Education, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Our services include: - Psychological Evaluations: IQ Evaluations, Learning Disability Evaluations, General Personality/Emotional Functioning, ADHD, Adaptive Functioning, Autism/Asperger’s Evaluations. - Neuropsychological Evaluations: Comprehensive evaluations determining vocational interests, aptitudes, and overall work habits, as they would relate to current/future training (Vocational school or college) and/or competitive employment. - Vocational Evaluations: Evaluations measuring intellectual capacity, memory, visuospatial skills, language, attention, motor responses, and executive functioning. - Situational Assessments: Assessments designed to determine strengths and impediments, as they would apply to competitive employment. The primary objective is to determine if an individual can meet the everyday demands of competitive employment, and how they may respond to issues or challenges in the workplace. We have bilingual psychologists and work evaluators with multiple office locations throughout Palm Beach, Broward, Dade, Lee and Collier Counties. We also travel to high schools for the testing of transition customers.
