About The Center of Rational Spirituality
The Center of Rational Spirituality (CRS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to the evolution of humanity through the integration of ancient spiritual wisdom with modern rational thought. The impetus for forming CRS was to create accessible and affordable venues for teaching Vedic Knowledge, the fundamental science of nature, in its purity to people in modern society. This includes the dissemination of Vedic Knowledge by way of Michael Mamas and his teachings. As an example, meditation instruction, articles, and blogs are available free online, meditation retreats and retreat weekends are available several times a year, and classes are offered on both coasts. There is also an ashram and work study program offered at Mount Soma, near Asheville, North Carolina. The mission of The Center of Rational Spirituality (CRS) is to facilitate the natural development of human consciousness. At the core of each individual lies the source of human potential and wisdom in its natural state. This is realized through proper meditation, and rational spiritual practices, regardless of philosophical, religious, cultural, racial, political, or social inclinations. CRS programs and activities are conducted in a manner that are consistent with these tenets and facilitate the evolution of humanity as well as the individual.
