About The Centered Foundation

The Centered Foundation’s vision is to inspire health and enhance lives. It is our mission to provide optimal health through education, scholarships, and community engagement. We see ourselves as offering programs that fall under the following categories: On the Move – Our world has become increasingly sedentary, and the best balm is simply getting up and moving. By partnering with area fitness centers and gyms, TCF plans to provide scholarships making it possible for youth to explore their areas of interest and get regular exercise. Turn the Tables – Nutrition education begins with children but requires the buy-in from teachers, superintendents, and cafeteria staff. We are already engaging with local school board members and staff to bring healthier food to our children’s plates. Our goal is to eventually take the learning out of the classroom and into gardens and kitchens to provide authentic, hands-on experiences for youth. Reach the Community - We want to enlighten, inform, and educate by reaching the community in fun and effective ways. TCF will kick off by organizing and sponsoring the Super Kids Obstacle Course at this year’s Strawberry Festival. In addition to this, TCF sees our role, in part, to be the hub for healthy change. It is our goal to familiarize ourselves with various community partners to enhance programming, better serve our community, and maximize our funding.
