The Child & Family Institute of Fairfield County (CFI) provides personalized, comprehensive outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents and adults from the northern Fairfield & New Haven county area. CFI provides outpatient and in home treatment for conditions like anxiety/excessive worrying, depression, attention/behavior issues and family/marriage problems. We provide workshops for parents and children to deal with complex issues like social interaction, conflict, sexual & gender identity, parenting and discipline. Our number one priority is the care and treatment of you and your child. Our committed therapists know that for change to occur, we must think about all aspects of a person’s life. This comprehensive approach includes working with the all of the necessary people involved — family, school, work, doctors and community agencies — to create real, long-lasting changes. Our staff goes the extra mile and truly cares about helping you and your child reach your potential. We treat every person with respect and dignity regardless of where they are from, what they look like or what they believe. Our professionals receive extensive training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches including DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), CBT (cognitive behavior therapy), EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), and holistic treatment like mindfulness. We evaluate you and your needs and develop a personalized treatment plan to guide & evaluate our approaches. We know it's hard raising children and can be overwhelming when your child needs help.
