The Children’s School in La Jolla offers San Diego’s only private, progressive, project-based program for toddlers through eighth grade. Our student-centered curriculum integrates core academics with technology, music, art, science, Spanish and physical education. At the heart of our program is a unique social curriculum that cultivates respect, positive communication, confidence and kindness. Our Reggio Emilia-based Early Childhood program combines arts with a play-based academic and social curriculum. In our Elementary program, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through hands-on, collaborative work and multi-disciplinary learning. Our Nelson Middle Years program features a classroom-as-laboratory model, a one-to-one laptop program, a league champion athletics program, and a new Makerspace.
