Just steps from the 9th Street Elevator in the Jersey City Heights lives The Cliff, a neighborhood cafe serving killer coffee alongside wholesome and delicious foods. A secluded backyard and sidewalk tables offer the best outdoor seating in the Heights. At The Cliff our focus is organic and unprocessed foods. We prepare foods that promote healthy living, with respect for others and the environment as well as support local businesses. The menu is designed to accommodate both those who want to grab healthy options on the go as well as those looking for a comfortable place to gather and enjoy. The cuisine is eclectic American with Icelandic and European influences. The cafe is predominantly vegetarian and vegan but we do also offer the freshest, most Eco sustainable fish in the world, sourced from The Fish Dock - an Icelandic seafood market in Closter, New Jersey. Our coffee is superior in taste. Working with a local master roaster we have perfected well balanced yet robust blends for both our house coffee as well as our silky cold brew. Our coffee program will also be offering single origin beans on a weekly basis as pour overs on a flavor tour of coffee producing countries around the world. Our teas are international in origin. We purchase from an all female owned and and operated company that masterfully blends loose leaf teas with responsibly sourced fruits, vegetables and herbs. Our water is boxed. It tastes better and by eliminating plastic whenever possible we are reducing our carbon footprint. For in house dining we offer filtered water served in glass bottles. Our community is our backbone. We live in, work and raise our children in this neighborhood. We support local artists and organizations that share our values by getting involved.
