The Community Foundation of South Alabama (CFSA) was founded in 1976 by a core group of civic and professional leaders to serve as a vehicle to promote charitable giving and build a permanent philanthropic resource to address the changing needs in Mobile and the surrounding areas. For more than 45 years, we have been southwest Alabama’s trusted partner to help create philanthropic funds that contribute to grant and scholarship opportunities, improving our community for years to come. The Foundation assembles and directs philanthropic assets to make southwest Alabama a better place. We are committed to acting with integrity with all of our partners, and to be equitable, inclusive and transparent in all we do.
