The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC) was launched in 1974 through a joint agreement between the City of New York and its leading commercial banks to restore and rebuild New York’s aging neighborhoods. CPC itself was an innovation when it was founded, and we carry that founding spirit with us as we operate today. Join us all year long as we celebrate our 50th anniversary (#CPC50th) by highlighting how the CPC has evolved and expanded our reach to become a consistent source of capital to underserved housing markets throughout New York City and in communities across the state. Our deep, strategic relationships with government agencies, community groups, banks, and other investors has positioned CPC as a trusted partner who works hand-in-hand with housing providers to create customized financing solutions.
