Congress of Diplomats is an extraterritorial rules-based representative and inter-diplomatic assembly of commercial diplomats STATED AIMS - to bring together distinguished commercial diplomats and commercial diplomats-in-chief, with plenipotentiary powers, heads of government, intergovernmental body, diplomatic institution and others. - to advance knowledge, promote understanding and advocate Responsible Commercial Diplomacy, - to provide a platform for the facilitation, negotiation, promotion and arbitration of international trade, investment and commerce, - to provide a forum for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation among stakeholders from all States & regions, - to be an inter-diplomatic assembly in which new innovative ideas and new products can have the benefit of informed and professional scrutiny. RULES The Presidium of the Congress of Diplomats sets the rules that shall be adopted by Members, in addition to the CDRA Code [Standards of Conduct and Practice] for Commercial Diplomats. OBJECTIVES To strengthen, safeguard and promote sustainable Commercial Diplomatic Integrity [CDi], while advocating Responsible Commercial Diplomacy (RCD) as the mainstream of foreign policy and global force for regional prosperity. MEMBERSHIP Participation is by invitation only and extremely limited to 200 high-quality accomplished learned, highly-skilled, highly-influential and appropriately authorised and accredited commercial diplomat(ist)s [representatives of State, inter-governmental organization and multinational corporation] with full plenipotentiary powers at senior-level (Commercial Diplomats and Commercial Diplomats-in-Chief vis a vis Secretaries and Ministers of State for International Trade and Investment, Commerce and Industry, Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Maritime Services, Heads of Diplomatic Institution, Directors/ Secretaries General, Senior-level Trade Commissioners or equivalent etc).
