About The Continental
The Continental is an interdisciplinary journal of European Affairs, established in 2025 at the University of Toronto. The Journal publishes academic research regarding Europe in all its aspects, not only European politics and integration, aiming to highlight a breadth of disciplines to best represent the whole continent in its diversity and complexity. The Continental is partnered with the University of Toronto European Studies Student Association and the Center for European and Eurasian Studies at the Munk School of Global Affairs. The Continental encourages submissions in the fields of politics, history, law, society, culture, language, or any combination thereof. Works discussing topics less directly related to Europe, such as the impact of Europeans outside the continent or of non-Europeans on Europe, are welcome, as long as a clear link to Europe can be demonstrated. The Continental is an open access journal. Authors retain ownership of their work, granting the journal a right to first publication. Issues are published under a CC-BY-NC-SA license (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International).
