Vision: Empowering humanity to recognise its profound responsibility as guardians of the planet, and to act with urgency and compassion to preserve the natural world for future generations. The Corbett Foundation (TCF) is a non-profit for wildlife conservation in tandem with sustainable development of forest-dwelling communities. TCF was founded in 1994 by late Mr. Dilip D. Khatau and his wife Mrs. Rina D. Khatau, and comprises of a team of well-known conservationists and other professionals as Trustees, Advisory Board and Scientific Advisors, and dedicated individuals woring at the grassroots executing its conservation programmes. TCF has effectively implemented its interventions across key tiger conservation landscapes in India, including Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, and Uttarakhand. The organisation has made significant contributions in the semi-arid regions and grasslands of Gujarat and Rajasthan, focusing on the protection of critically endangered species such as the Great Indian Bustard and Lesser Florican, along with other threatened flora and fauna. In addition to these divisional offices, TCF's programmes and projects have extended to much larger conservation landscapes covering other Protected Areas, important corridors and open natural ecosystems. TCF adopts a 'holistic approach' to conservation which includes interventions in the areas of ecological research, biodiversity conservation, human-wildlife conflict mitigation, habitat restoration, sustainable livelihoods, watershed development, sustainable rural development, one health, capacity building, influencing policy and awareness. TCF has implemented its programmes in over 850 villages spread in the above-mentioned landscapes and adopts a multipronged strategy to help in creating a future where wildlife and human beings live in harmony.
