The Corporate Partners Investment Alliance is a multinational merchant banking partnership. Corporate Partners was founded in 1988 within Lazard Frères & Co. as a leading institutional private equity business, specialized in making structured minority investments in companies affording the prospect of attractive risk-adjusted returns. The firm became independent of Lazard in 2009 under two of its founding partners. In 2023, CPIA united over twenty Partners into a broad-based merchant banking partnership. All of CPIA's Partners have been leaders in major investment and investment banking firms or c-suite executives in successful companies and professional firms.
