About The Depot Theatre
Nestled in a working 1876 train station on the shores of Lake Champlain, the Depot Theatre is a nonprofit, professional theatre company proudly rooted in Westport, NY. We’re one of the only theatres in the Adirondacks operating under an agreement with Actors’ Equity Association, bringing professional performers and stage managers to our historic space in the heart of the Adirondack Park. For over 45 years, the Depot has been a hub for connection, creativity, and community. Our expanded main stage season, educational programming through the Depot Theatre Academy, and strategic commitment to growth ensure that theatre here is more than a destination, it’s an experience. We honor our past while building our future with renewed energy, community partnerships, and a vision to extend the theatre experience beyond the traditional stage.
