About The Designr Academy

You became a designer years ago. And it’s been a great few years. You’re building a business, or maybe you’ve set it up years ago, but it would be nice to hear how other people are managing work, and clients, and the baby’s flu. (We won't mention laundry. Or supper.) The Designr Academy was created for you. A designer who wants to brush up on her skills with advanced techniques, connect with other designers, and learn from people she admires in the field. You’re here because you want to learn, and we’re here to make that happen. Our mission is to bring quality workshops and resources from respected professionals in our community, to ease the road towards your rewarding career. Who are we anyway? The Designr Academy is the brainchild of 2 powerhouses who’ve lived in the world of design for years. And they want Jewish women on the same path to have easy access to the quality ongoing education you won’t find anywhere else. Malkie Scholnick: Having trained many women in my design courses at The Bold Edge,(and many teens in BeTeen) it’s likely we’ve met before. At The Bold Edge, we turn creativity into confidence — and a career. The Designr Academy is how I’m taking my passion of educating creatives further. Deena Englard: I’m the art director at Click Co, where I guide a team of creatives and ensure the design lives up to our standards and jives with the brand strategy. And you might have used Frocks in Stock, a site with Jewish stock photos I founded as a resource for designers. It also boasts a learning center with over 30 articles on improving your design skills. I joined up with Malkie to give every frum designer the resources to grow her career and run a successful, fulfilling, and profitable business.
