About The Diggers Club

We have Australia's largest range of heirloom vegetables, cottage flowers and fruit plants that can be delivered direct to your door. We offer seeds and plants in 6 mail order catalogues per year and deliver direct to your garden, whether it's in Darwin or Hobart, providing access to the rare and unusual. We have specialised in growing hard to find, non-mainstream seeds and plants for passionate gardeners for over 40 years. Our plants are trialled for hardiness and drought tolerance under the hot Australian sun. They're also displayed in our showcase gardens - Hersonwood in Dromana, The Garden of St Erth in Blackwood and Cloudehill Gardens in Olinda, as well as being taste-tested in our garden fork to table fork cafes and propagated in our nurseries. If you are tired of tomatoes that bounce, potted colour that's only ankle-high, and tasteless, supermarket fruits will little nutrient value, then you are our sort of gardener. We are the club for passionate gardeners and beginners alike - with a mission to help all gardeners succeed and to inspire all Australians to create both beautiful and productive gardens for a sustainable future. We are fierce advocates for the public control of our seed supply and our member magazines contain both useful information for gardeners, and thought-provoking editorial. The Diggers Club and our priceless gardens were gifted to the Diggers Foundation in 2011, which means when you join the Club or buy from Diggers, all profit is going to a charitable Foundation tasked with preserving heirloom seed varieties and the gardeners inheritance for all Australians.
