The Dignity Institute is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt public charity dedicated to empowering youth by integrating the world-renowned SMART Conversations workforce readiness curriculum in combination with the healing power of the arts in order to shift their mindset and accelerate their personal development. This technique has proven to exponentially improve kids' positive outlook, personal drive and leadership, making them more productive, pro-active adults and changing the trajectory of their lives. With each person we have the good fortune to impact, the ripple effect is felt within their community and reverberates into the world around them. ‣ Our Mission: We engage vulnerable youth in enrichment programs that develop leadership skills, leading to self-sufficiency. Our proven, one-of-a-kind, SMART Conversations®, social-emotional learning, and leadership model serves as the foundation for all of our programs. ‣ Our Vision: We envision that all voices are heard and respected in organizations and society on a global scale. ‣ Our Principles: We were founded on the principle that everyone, no matter who you are or where you come from, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. It doesn’t matter what religion you follow, or if you follow any religion at all. It doesn’t matter if your skin is light or dark or some shade in between. It doesn’t matter if you dropped out of high school or if you earned a doctorate. It doesn’t matter how big your house is. It doesn’t matter how full your wallet is. You are a human being, and you are valuable. ‣ Our strategy: Our research-proven methods blend communication with creative arts to empower members of vulnerable communities. We provide people with opportunities to become professional leaders that inspire their community. We also collaborate with other non-profits by helping incorporate SMART Conversations using our Train-The-Trainer model.
