From the beginning of time, food and stories have belonged together. Be it sitting around the family table or gathering a group of friends for a weekend lunch at a suburban cafe, food has always provided an opportunity to share some company and a story or two. Deeply evocative, food acts as a powerful reminder of people, places and experiences in our past; allowing us the opportunity to reminisce about the personal journeys we have travelled in our lives. Food knows no barriers, allows no prejudice and provides us with a rare opportunity for common humanity as we share our experiences amongst friends, loved ones and even strangers. Throughout the year, the Dinner Table hosts communal dinner parties, conversation nights and unique events at Kinfolk Cafe. Motivated by the question, “who would you invite to dinner” we invite interesting and inspiring people that we would like to share a glass of wine and conversation with, to join us as our special guest. Limited to 30 guests, the Dinner Table will provide a unique opportunity to be inspired by conversation, enjoy a delicious seasonal menu and share intimate conversations with old and new friends. We like to mix it up a bit, no event will be the same, there is no regularity in what we do, there will be something for everyone and we work hard to ensure that each evening won’t just be a night out – it will be an experience. What always stays the same? Good food, conversation and community powers everything we do!
