About The Ecological Conversion Group

The ECG is a small charity with a mission to help our Church, motivated by faith, to respond to the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. We encourage creative solutions for long lasting and transformative global change through localised action. Taking Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’ as our guide, our aim is to rebuild social fabric through resources that weave together involvement from all aspects of community, ensuring a holistic approach that integrates environmental and social action to rebuild relationships with God, community, and the Earth. We do this by working with parishes, schools, Religious communities and organisations through education (retreats, workshops, talks etc.), providing resources, consultancy, network building, and inspiring case studies. Our key principles are: • Integral ecology: the inseparable the bonds between concern for nature, justice for the poor, commitment to society, and interior peace, and: • Ecological conversion; the process of restoring this right relationship with creation.
