About The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools
The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools , Inc. (EFBCPS), or Foundation, is an independent organization created under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code to attract and direct public financial contributions to programs/activities of the District in support of quality education and for ALL students, educators and schools. Since 1992, the EFBCPS has impacted countless students, educators and schools through its scholarship program, 21st century instructional initiative grants and school-based projects. It has provided educational supplies/resources to educators for their students/their classroom through two collaborative educators resource centers, the Exchangeree: Gizmos and Gadgets Galore. Supply/resource distribution targets support for ALL students with a focus on those less fortunate. Classroom supply/resources distribution targets support for ALL educators with a focus on those with five years or less experience, decreasing personal financial burdens. As the Foundation strives to have a major impact on BCPS students and educators outreach must be expanded and revenue increased. Focusing on high-profile fund raising events with a targeted outreach plan to major businesses and philanthropic organizations is necessary. Through these concerted efforts, EFBCPS will become integral in the systems efforts to increase achievement for ALL students while preparing a variety of pathways to prepare students for careers, colleges and the. Military. It is imperative to challenge the Baltimore metropolitan area to contribute to the future of its students, educators and schools.
